NAEYC Public Policy Forum
Background
Designing a conference for thousands of attendees requires careful planning, coordination, and execution to ensure a successful event. I have the pleasure to work with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) on three conferences per year. The NAEYC Public Policy Forum is the smallest of the three and was held in both Crystal City, Virginia and Washington, DC in 2022.
I served as the Creative Design Project Manager, Lead Designer, and Photographer. I also had a Junior Designers to assist in design production.
I also worked closely with the Conference team, Policy team, and external vendors to manage every design aspect of the event.
#SolveChildCare
The theme of the 2023 Public Policy Forum conference was “Solve Child Care.” I created branded cookies to give to attendees. These cookies were handed to Congress members at the Capitol on the last day of the conference.
Several supportive documents were created to help attendees navigate changes in the early childhood education field.
All documents were then housed in a NAEYC branded folder.
I worked closely with the Marketing Director to print all items and ensure quality within each document.
Federal Agenda
A six-page federal agenda was created to give attendees supportive evidence surrounding early childhood education and recommendations for creating their own content when reaching out to Congress. This agenda also made space for why educators should choose NAEYC as their membership organization.
Event Photography
For two days, I provided event photography for the Public Policy Forum in Crystal City, Virginia, and the Care Can’t Wait Rally in Union Station, Washington, DC. My goal was to capture conference speakers on stage, candid shots of attendees enjoying themselves, posed group shots, and important moments involving the CEO.
